ADVANCED MOBILITY BY KENTUCKY TRAILER EXHIBITS FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND PET/CT TRAILER AT SNMMI 2014

Advanced Mobility exhibited this first-of-its-kind trailer, built for GE Healthcare (www.gehealthcare.com) at the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, June 7 – 10, 2014.

“It is truly an honor to be the designated preferred manufacturer of their trailers by GE Healthcare and to have this opportunity to build the first mobile unit for a Discovery IQ PET/CT,” said Bob Bachman, President, Advance Mobility and Specialty Vehicles. “We are proud of our strong relationship with GE Healthcare and growing our expertise and services to reach international markets.”

Several new design and construction features surround the manufacturing of this mobile unit to comply with stricter requirements and greater sensitivity of the Discovery IQ PET/CT. The Power Generator, normally mounted to the exterior front of the trailer, was redesigned to fit in the interior, inside the lower compartment units. This allowed Advanced Mobility to install the HVAC Units to the exterior front of the trailer, thereby lessening any vibrations that might affect the quality of the Discovery IQ PET/CT located near the rear of the trailer.

Advanced Mobility exhibited the new Discovery IQ PET/CT Trailer at SNMMI 2014 ( www.snmmi.org) in St. Louis, June 7 – 10, 2014. The new trailer will be placed into service at a later date by one of GE Healthcare’s customers.
